Lin Advokater is a commercial law firm with broad expertise. We have particular knowledge of and interest in circular economy.  We assist both private businesses and public bodies.

When we established Lin, our goal was to create a company based on the values that are important to us. At Lin, competence, cooperation, and generosity are paramount.

Lin currently consists of three lawyers, and we have over sixty years of combined experience. We have different areas of expertise and complement each other well; this means that Lin may offer services covering a wide range of business law disciplines. We are all pragmatic, unpretentious, and direct in our form, and we work well with each other – for the benefit of our customers.

We benefit from each other’s knowledge both on small and large assignments. We always provide personal follow-up, no matter how big or small the matter we deal with is, or which of us who handles it.

WHY IS OUR NAME LIN?

• The name is short, simple and unique. 

• The Norwegian word “lin” means linen. Linen is used for fibers, textiles and oil, and it provides nourishment. Linen is durable, genuine and environmentally friendly. For us, this gives positive associations to our values. 

• “Lin” is also the name of a Norse goddess and means the one who protects. We associate this with the fact that our highest priority as lawyers is to take care of our clients, their interests and values. 

• “Lin” has the same pronunciation in Norwegian as the English word "lean". Lean is widely known in organizational life as a flexible form of work with learning, systematic improvement, removal of unnecessary detours, customer orientation and delivery of maximum value quickly and efficiently. This is exactly what Lin Advokater stands for - a flexible, "lean and mean" law firm that delivers practical, targeted and competent advice of high value to our clients.
